Welcome all you puck sluts to another year of NHL hockey! 2026-2027 means an 84 game regular season and revving up the engines before the leaves on the trees change (except the Leafs up in Toronto. Those bums never change. 1967, losers)

Lets take a look at tonight's 8 games:
Flyers @ Devils - over 5.5 -120
- The Flyers are coming off a disastrous 7-0 shutout loss at home to their bitter in-state rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins, in which Flyers goalie Dan Vladar let in 7 goals on 38 shots. Vladar will likely take a seat tonight in favor of new Flyers backup Joseph Woll, as it is already the second night of a back-to-back. -Woll struggled last season in Toronto posting a 3.31 GAA and .899 save percentage while splitting time with the Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies in the AHL
-New Jersey turns to Jake Allen an average backup on a good day.

Lightning @ Rangers - Nikita Kucherov over .5 goals +130
-Keeping it simple here. Nikita Kucherov will be the best player on the ice for either team in this game. He's coming off a 44 goal 130 point season last season which was good enough to win the Hart Trophy (MVP). Rangers are coming off a lackluster 3-0 road loss to Boston Tuesday night.

-Kucherov loves himself the bright lights cant see him not scoring at MSG
Sabres @ Blue Jackets - over 6.5 +110
-Neither of these teams has a goalie. The Sabres love to run and gun and score goals. Might be worth throwing some action on a Tage Thompson point goal as well. -The Sabres gave up on average 2.93 goals a game last season and the jackets gave up 3.06 goals a game. Just atrocious defending from both. Smash the over
Wild @ Predators - Wild -1.5 +173 -Another pretty simple pick. The Wild are one of the best teams in the Central Divsion, which is the NHL's toughest gauntlet. Nashville looks to be spectularly mediocre. Just picking the better team here. The likes of Quinn Hughes, Karill Kaprizov, and Matt Boldy whill be too much to handle for the Preds.
Kraken @ Flames - Kraken -1.5 +225
-Taking a shot in the dark here, as both teams are miserable. Someone's gotta win, and likely there will be an empty netter required.

Blackhawks @ Mammoth - Patrick Kane over .5 goals +280
-Look for Patty Kane to bury one in his second game back with his Blackhawks. While Young forward Connor Bedard recovers from injury, Kane is going to need to produce points for this Blackhawks team with little offensive options.

Oilers @ Canucks - over 6.5 goals -117
-These two teams played a 6-5 overtime game on Tuesday night. Look for more of the same.
-Evan Bouchard over 1.5 point +180 is awfully tempting as well. Bouchard recorded 3 goals and 2 assists in Tuesday's game. The NHL's best offensive defenseman is jonesing to put up another multi-point game.

Panthers @ Sharks - Sharks ML +124
Home opener for one of the NHL's youngest teams. The Sharks will be looking to take a big leap this season with the likes of Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and the 2026 2nd overall pick Ivar Stenberg. The Sharks will look to punch a Stanley Cup favorite in the mouth on home ice to start their season.
West coast roadie to start the season for an older Panthers team look for a slow start.
